ZX : Coming Soon

For more than a month now a blogosphere friend^^, is raving about a new game that will be published by E-games (the breakthrough company that brought F2P ,in our country, to another level). This gorgeous game is called " Zhuxian online". If our eyes had a feast on Cabal's Skill effects and 3d graphics, ZX will make Cabal look like a game from SNES, exaggerated a bit but really this is one game to look out for. Beta Testing Stage will be this November. For the meanwhile, check out this vids.

The Spider is Bored

Anderson "The Spider" SIlva is definitely one of the , if not the, best MMA fighter in the world. His last fight is so unprofessional. Guess he really needs a real challenge. Winning 8 of his last fights, which tied Royce Gracie's record didn't make him a happy man. Guess it's time to bring Lidell, Rashad Evans or any one who can bring him back to his normal state of mind, cause I'm really thinking, he might end up in the "Whack Shack" if he keeps fighting semi-funny clowns in the octagon. ^_^ Click here to watch the full Silva Vs. Churches

So what exactly is a church?
Dictionary says ;1. a place set apart for worship. 2.a formally organized body of christians worshipping together. 3. the collective body of christians.

I've attended different churches, taking the first meaning, and every church I've been gives a different experience;
  1. A church building in the middle of a squatter area - Attended and worked for this church as a musician for 3 years and our music team's style which is much more in the contemporary often gets scrutinized by angry neighbors. (I treasure my times in this church. Its 8th year anniversary this sunday^^,V)
  2. A church building in the middle of a ricefield - now, this is a really good place for prayer. Where we can worship, practice music and pray until midnight.
  3. A church in the mall - been to one meeting and I say, shoppers and items are big distractions for worshippers.
  4. A church in a movie theatre- It's a good experience. The acoustics makes praise and worship more lively and vibrant, the light settings and comfortable velvet chairs can help too in preparing people's heart for the Word. It made me wonder why theatres seemed to be taylor-made for Sunday Worship services cause definitely it's way better than most church buildings.Find out more
BTW, you can attend the first-ever inaugural Theatre Church Conference in Silver Spring, MD on October 22 & 23. Find out more

But really, wherever ot whatever church we go to, the most important thing is a hungry heart and a thirsty soul that longs for nourishment from God's word.

Banks, Funeral Parlors and Pawnshops.

They say the prosperity of a place / town / city is measured by the number of banks there is. In my town there's only one bank (rural bank to be exact)and What businesses are popping out like mushrooms here are funeral parlors and pawnshops. I hate to admit this but my town seems getting left out and I'm stuck in the middle of its mediocrity. /sigh

A Free Mind

I am a Big Fan of Francis Magalona,in fact I still have my cassette tapes with me. I love the messages in his songs. There's patriotism in every word. I'm one of those people who are used to seeing him do his stuff in Eat Bulaga everyday and the news about him getting sick and not being able to be part of the show (for some time) saddened me. Being an 80's kid in the Philippines really has something to do about me being emotional(nostalgic fan emo, that is) about it. I grew up singing "Mga Kababayan Ko" and "Kaleidoscope World" and it was engraved in my mind that the author of those songs is immortal, noble and strong. I am partly wrong, cause back then my mentality is set on the physical realm/aspects but then I am 100%right 'cause there's more in him that we, fans/admirers/followers/FRIENDS/Countrymen, should see... and that is the "Immortality of His Songs", the "Nobility of his Mind" and the "Strength of His Faith".

"Today, September 25th, 2008 is the day I learned that Cancer isn't all about death. It's about LIFE. And today I celebrate and embrace that life.

Today was a day of reckoning. I went to my doctor at her clinic, and from the smile on her face as she entered the room, I knew The Lord, Jesus Christ gave me a reprieve. I knew that someone, somewhere made a prayer, and continues to pray for me, my family and my recovery.
And Jesus heard it.

I am a sinner, and I will continue to sin, for I am just a man. But the Saviour has forgiven me and will continue to forgive me. This God who became man spilled His blood for me during my 36 days in the hospital. And even before that He suffered, and today He spilled some more of His blood, for me to get the good news.
This is the only thing I can do, to write about His goodness, amidst this badness I am going thru. " --- Francis Magalona -- from one of his blog entry.

I remember my times of panic, sometime last year, when I saw signs of health problem. I'm so paranoid, I had poor sleeping habits, I watched every food I take and I get too stressed thinking about it . I thank God that it wasn't serious/life threatening.
But really in those times you got to be thankful, cause there are people who showed how much they care and how much they love you, they're support got me through the depression, I drew strength from them cause I'm really not that strong as Kuya Kiko is(makiki-Kuya na din ako ha). In those dark times you got to be able to prove also that Prayer moves the Hand of God and you got to confess it each day that you are healed cause Jesus won the battle over sickness on the cross, for us.

Kuya Kiko...Keep the faith... wish you good health and a speedy recovery. Much love and respect!!! God bless...

Annie's First Kiss

Hi, my name is Annie. An average looking girl of 27, educated, smart i may say, who grew up in the province of Benguet.
Having to grow up in a place where in all people are so fond of traditions, aside from the fact that my family is so religious,
kissing and being kissed have never been a subject of discussion. All this have been changed when I had a boyfriend.

March 2003, i met Wesley. A handsome guy, tall and well built. He was from Manila. A good for nothing playboy as people from our town calls manileƱos.
But of course as the saying goes "to every rule, there is an exemption" and Wesley is exempted.

making my story short, we became friends and eventually lovers after 4 months of courting.
being with Wesley makes me feel so safe. He never took his eyes off me, always attending to my needs and because of those things he showed me.
i planned to come with him to manila and work there.
My boyfriend, fetch me from work everyday. never forgot to call me before going to bed and never failed texting me in the morning.

But one day June 23,2005. i received a call from Wesley, saying "we’ve been on for almost 2 years now and i haven’t kissed you yet. tomorrow will be the day that we will be kissing each other, or else…. "then ends his call with a naughty scheming laughter.
suddenly i felt cold, nerve wracked and stunned.honestly,I was frightened by that call.
Thoughts came into my mind. " i don’t know how to kiss" "my folks told me that kissing was immoral" "what will isay?" "should i turn him down? or should i call the "tipanan thing off.
i am scared but excited at the same time.

June 24,2005, i was mentally prepared for that so called kissing thing that Wesley asked from me. I love him so i will not turn him down.
i arrived, 9:00 am to the venue and saw some familiar faces. everybody was looking at me as if i was doomed. some smiling and some are giggling.
I felt like melting but i am full of anticipation of what was to happen between me and my beloved Wesley. and so after walking a few meters, after getting off the car that my brother Ron drove, i saw Wesley in his most wonderful outfit. he looked so impatient but still manages to smile."oh boy,if you could only see my man."
As always, he took me by the hand and walked some more.He whispered"you look beautiful today, honey" i reciprocated that flattery with a fine pinch on his side.
he whinced a bit and that made me smile even more. suddenly, a guy in a "weird suit" started talking, his words were so powerful and meaningful that Wesley and I couldn’t help but say yes to what he is saying and so after a few exchange of words with that guy in white,Wesley decided to hand me a ring saying "this ring symbolize my love for you.it has no beginning neither it has an end." i handed him a ring also saying those cheesy but sweet words he told me. That made me forget the call that Wesley made the night before.

i was so confident that he forgot all about it. when suddenly he whispered "be prepared, i will kiss you". as the weird looking guy in white spoke his final remarks, Wesley looked at me,held my chin up gently and little by little his face was working it’s way towards mine. i am chilling i was about to scream…
but i told myself.. " i don’t care even if they all see me kiss this guy, i love him and he means the world to me…"

as his lips were about to touch mine, i can’t help but close my eyes and feel the warmth of his lips. it felt like the whole world stopped moving,i can’t hear a thing my heart almost burst with so much beating. i just can’t describe how ecstatic that was. my first kiss i have given to the man I love so dearly.

after that i’ve been brought back to reality Wesley said "thanks for making this day so wonderful, thanks for giving me your first kiss." i reciprocate with a hug.. all the people around us started clapping. and my mom and dad was crying, not of shame but because they were happy for me.

and oh by the way?? didn’t i mention, i was also wearing white that day, walked the aisle with boquette in hand?

I wrote this a long time ago.. haven't edited it, I don't know if I'm just so lazy or am i lazy, LOL...

Bayan Ko (Philippines)

1:00 PM by Irvin Ryan · 0 comments
Found this vid on youtube, it showcases the beauty of the Philippines set to the music of Freddie Aguilar's "Bayan Ko" (i know i know!!! that's so like yesterday, but really? isn't this very touching?) so here it is...Mga Pinoy Keep your heads HIGH !!!

Bayan ko

Ang bayan kong Pilipinas
Lupain ng ginto't bulaklak
Pag-ibig ang sa kanyang palad
Nag-alay ng ganda't dilag.
At sa kanyang yumi at ganda
Dayuhan ay nahalina
Bayan ko, binihag ka
Nasadlak sa dusa.

Ibon mang may layang lumipad
Kulungin mo at umiiyak
Bayan pa kayang sakdal dilag
Ang di magnasang makaalpas!
Pilipinas kong minumutya
Pugad ng luha ko't dalita
Aking adhika,
Makita kang sakdal laya!

English translation of the lyrics

"Bayan Ko (My Country)"

My country the Philippines
Land of gold and flowers
With love in her palms
She offers beauty and virtue.
And of her modesty and beauty
The foreigner was attracted
O, my country, you were enslaved
Mired in hardship.

Even birds that are free to fly
Cage them and they cry,
Much more a beautiful country
Shall long to be free.
Philippines my beloved,
Cradle of my tears and poverty
I'll aspire,
To see you truly free!!!
